Anniversary

I just had my 1 year anniversary at the hospital I work at. It's still hard to believe that I moved here a whole year ago. When I lived in Tucson I was always planning my next departure. But I genuinely miss the crazy old place. So here I am reminiscing about some of my favorite things from the place I lived for 4 years but never called home......

This is typically what I looked like. Riding my bike to go lifeguard.

Now you can really see that beauty (my bike, not the apt, it's classy living in T-town). I didn't have a car my first 6 months living down there. I literally rode that bike everywhere! The basket came in really handy.

A mountain, or as I now refer to it as freakin' A mtn! This one might deserve it's own post. One day I will return....... maybe.

Hanging with my bestie Adam. Enjoying music on the patio at the Frog n' Firkin. Probably my favorite local spot.

Getting called to sing back up vocals to "Sweet Caroline". Good times.

My best friend from nursing school Carolyn. I wouldn't have made it through school without her.

My water aerobics ladies! These ladies were my Tucson family and some of my biggest supporters all the way thru school and my first year as a nurse. I miss teaching water aerobics but know it wouldn't be the same without my ladies.

UofA's pool is one of my top 3 pools. I loved swimming there.

You become a little loco when you've been there for a while. Tasha came down to visit and she got the T-town fever right away!

Tash was probably my most frequent visitor. Oh the random times we had.....

And my most favorite thing about Tucson: HIKING
Carrie and I at Sabino Canyon

Adam and I at Sabino Canyon

Aaaah Mt Lemmon. Yes this is in Tucson!

Al and me hiking the lemmon

Another one of Aly and me on Mt Lemmon

Singing and driving all the way back down. We don't talk on this drive. Nope, we just turn on a rockin' playlist, roll the windows down, and sing our hearts out!

Tucson is definately unique and unlike any other. But it is home to some of the greatest people I know. Tucson I may miss you, but I still won't ever claim you. Just know there is a special place for you in my tiny little heart.

  1. Cool idea. I love the T-Town reminiscing. I need to do the same with the places that I have lived, loved, and not loved very much.

I love your water aerobics ladies. Water aerobics women are a stalwart and loyal bunch. It is a sport that you can talk and really get to know each other. How fun.
